In a workshop with my job this afternoon/night we made these gorgeous marzipan goodies in addition to a great gourmet dinner. What a way to spend an afternoon!

A Row of Falling Leaves

Row #7 of Bee In My Bonnet Row Along is done, and I love the project more and more! Colorful, colorful!

The light was not ideal for a good picture, but I just had to take it tonight, anyway. I will try to get better pictures in daylight during the weekend.

Quilting of the Christmas Mystery Table Runner is done, and the binding is stitched on. Finished size is 14" x 36". The Christmas Mystery Runner is completed, and it is over one month until Christmas! I used a cute Christmas fabric for backing.

Merete's Christmas Mystery

Thank you, Sølvi, for introducing me to Merete's Christmas Mystery. I did not start this one before all the clues were given, and that made it easier for me to choose the colors. I made the top today, and when it is quilted and finished it will be given to good friends for Christmas.

I chose a blue/silver/green/black/white theme for my table runner. That means it can stay on their table a little longer during the winter season. I used three fabrics with glitter in them, I hope you can see it in the picture below.

In the stars in the middle of the runner, I used black and white star fabric. This will be a great runner for New Year also!

Rowing along with #6

I have finished row #6 in Lori Holt's Row Along. This time it was 9 cute cups of cocoa. My version of the row is here:

After having finished 6 rows it it starting to look like a quilt top. We don't know the order of the rows, yet, but this is a very fun project! I have not clue how many different colors/fabrics I have used this far.

Amazing Aurifil Prize

I have known for about 10 days that I won the prize for October in the 2012 Aurifil Designer of the Month, and today I received it.

A kit with 12 spools of Aurifil 50wt threads, 1300 m of thread in each spool. The lighting does not give enough credit to the colors, they are amazing! I was so happy to see these great colors, just imagine what I can make with them! I am a lucky person! A nice way to enter the weekend.

A Coaster Gift

A couple of times this year a good neighbor has helped me taking care of my cat when I had to do work-related travel on short notice. She has a dog herself, but is also very fond of cats. As an appreciation I decided to make a set of coasters like these I saw in  Moda Bakeshop. Here is my version:

I think the cup fabric is just perfect for these 5" x 5" coasters. It is great to do a simple and easy project from time to time. It was relaxing. Here they are all piled up and ready to be given away:

A nice appreciation to a good neighbor.

Aurifil BOM November

Now there is only one month left for this BOM. I am curious to see what the last stitchery will be. This month's block makes me feel the cold and wet wind of November. The design has caught the feeling!

Blogger's BOM top finished

The quilt top for Blogger's BOM 2012 is finally finished. In order to get good pictures I had to take it outside in the fading light this afternoon. Wet snow on my porch is not the best thing for my quilt top, but the photo session was short and the top got a good shaking afterwards to get rid of the snow.

When I get around to quilt it, it will probably be given to charity.

Richard's Star pillow

I made Richard's Star into a pillow for my couch. There was a great need for refreshing my pillows. Now I know what to use my spare blocks for!

Assembling blocks

Earlier this year I joined Blogger's Block of the Month where there were 13 blocks made by different designers. Jackie from Canton Village Quilt Works organized the BOM.

I finished the last block about a month ago, and have finally started assembling them. Here is a picture of work in progress. It feels good to be close to the finish line for a long project!

One block from Glorious Autumn Block Party

Tonight I made up one block from the Glorious Autumn Block Party at the Quilting Gallery. It was fun to make 'Richard's Star'!

Block #4 in Christmas Mystery is completed

4 blocks out of 5 are stitched, and I am waiting for the next issue of Quiltemagasinet in December (?) to get the last stitchery design and the assembly plan for the complete quilt.

Lots of other projects to work on until then, I won't be 'unemployed'!
